The Twister is strongly based on a First Generation Oldsmobile Toronado, with the rear of a 1965 Dodge Charger(With 'Twister' in place of 'Dodge'.) The car also has pop up headlights, and the hood has been made slightly longer.

The '88 Twister is sluggish, powered by a 7.0L V8 coupled to a 3 Speed Gearbox in FWD configuration, but the car is still heavy. The front wheel drive makes the suspension stiff, and a little vague. Cornering is a dangerous affair, but braking is still excellent, with ABS very common. Crash deformation is good, and the car can take several hits.
